    Jorrit Heidbuchel

Jorrit Heidbuchel studied civil engineering (vehicle technology) at KU Leuven when he became involved in Tomas Keppens’ Ellio e-mobility project as a master's thesis student in 2016. During that time, Heidbuchel refined Ellio’s technology. This led to the development of the first Ellio prototype of their speed pedelec in 2017. This not only surprised the master's thesis jury, but also exceeded the expectations of the engineering duo.

For Heidbuchel, the approach from the start was to build an E-bike for which people want to leave their car. At and& Leuven he will explain how listening to car drivers and their struggles in an urbanizing world helped Belgian company intuEdrive create solutions for personal mobility in a changing landscape.
