Bernard De Groeve

At imec Bernard manages strategic innovation & business development working with global, multi-national companies to bring the power of nanoelectronics and digital technologies across all industries incl. energy, biopharmaceuticals, life sciences, health care, manufacturing and many other.

In his career, Bernard has led the adoption for Fortune 500 companies of a wide range of breakthrough technologies such as advanced sensors, wireless, cyber security, chip technologies, enterprise cloud solutions and many other.  

Earlier, he bootstrapped a niche payment venture in Belgium and co-founded a top tier funded New York based firm providing corporate receivables financing. Bernard took also senior management positions at Oracle (California) & SWIFT (Brussels) leading strategic sales and new product development. Bernard has a Master degree in Business & Engineering from the Free University of Brussels (Solvay) and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
