Steven De Laet

Steven De Laet is CEO of InOpSys NV, which provides pharmaceutical and chemical companies with a cost-effective, sustainable and easy logistic solution for toxic and hazardous wastewater.

De Laet obtained a Master’s in industrial sciences at the De Nayer Instituut (KU Leuven) and a Master’s in chemical engineering at KU Leuven (CIT). He worked for Bayer Antwerp and BASF Antwerp as a process and production engineer before changing the industry in 2007 and becoming operations manager and technical solutions developer for Mondi Belcoat. He also gained experience in FMCG at ABInbev.

In 2012 De Laet founded his own company and became an independent manager/consultant. In this capacity, he acted as a business development manager at VITO and supported FISCH vzw (Catalisti) as one of its first program managers. Later he supported a number of companies as an interim manager and was CEO at Ecopack before founding InOpSys in 2015. He has also obtained an Executive International MBA degree from the Vlerick Management School (2008-2010).
