    Jacques Vandermeiren

    Jacques Vandermeiren has been CEO of the Antwerp Port Authority since October 2016 and sits on the Executive Committee (Leadership Team). Previously he was active for a number of years at Elia, where he was appointed CEO in 2012. He is also active in various organizations. For example, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Nxtport, Kunsthuis Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and the Belgian Coffee House Vascobelo.

    Vandermeiren has masters in law and European Studies, and has completed a course in Middle Management at Vlerick Business School, and an Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

    Anyone with even a remote interest in sustainability needs to listen to Vandermeiren. He co-founded and since May 2018 is Chairman of the Belgian Sustainability Network The Shift. Described as the Belgian meeting point for sustainability, its goal is to realize the transition towards a more sustainable society and economy, together with its members and partners.
